“Being in touch with nature is a very important part of my life, and I enjoy incorporating that into my designs.
But being able to travel and enjoy other cultures has been one of my most inspiring moments” |

Laura’s pieces use natural shells and stones with subtle changes in color, texture and form. They are sculpted,
enhanced with silver and complemented with other natural stones and semi-precious stones. One of her
most unique pieces uses a shell called Spondylus. The mollusk is found in both Central America and South
America and thrives in the warmer waters off the coast of Ecuador. It has been known to have been a sacred
shell among the ancient Andean Peoples. The Spondylus Princep is mostly known for it’s fiery red color
and spiny covered surface. However, it can also be found in shades of white, orange and violet. |
